Filing bankruptcy is a BIG step.  But only you can make this decision - not us, well-meaning friends and family, creditors, or anyone else.  But if you answer YES to three or more of these questions then Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy may be your best option. 

Don't let creditors (especially credit card companies & debt purchasers) talk you into a debt settlement (settle a debt for less than the full amount owed) because whatever amount is "forgiven" will actually be forwarded to the IRS on a 1099 form and become taxable income.

What does bankruptcy cost?

There are standard fees with the court to file and complete counseling.

Our fees are set by the bankruptcy court - $250.00.

We come highly recommended by our clients, trustees, local attorneys, and our local legal aid office. Why? All the Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies we prepare are straight up by the book and you wouldn't want it any other way.

When will my bankruptcy be completed?

After your interview with the bankruptcy judge is completed you receive a filling date on your bankruptcy, which means your bankruptcy has been accepted.

There are some caveats to this that we will discuss in our initial appointment so you have a more complete timeline.
