It can be possible to request a fee waiver on your bankruptcy.
If we have a reasonable expectation that you qualify for a filing fee waiver due to your unique situation (for example you are under-employed, unemployed, or receive unemployment, workers' compensation, social security, or social security disability and have few assets) we would be happy to prepare an Application for Fee Waiver for you at no extra cost.
Your application will be reviewed by the court and the final decision to approve it will be made by a bankruptcy judge (usually within 10 days of filing bankruptcy). Should you not qualify for a fee waiver the court will automatically put you in an installment plan.
If you are employed but simply cannot afford to pay the filing fee in full at the time you need to file your chapter 7 bankruptcy we would be happy to prepare an Application To Pay Fees in Installments for you at no extra cost.
This application to the court to allow you to pay $110.00 when you file your papers and 3 additional monthly payments of $75.00 each. Your application must be approved by a bankruptcy judge and once approved you are allowed to pay the amount you owe early, which we highly recommend.
